These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of coastlinetrades.com ("Coastline Trades", "we", "us"). By using this site, whether as a visitor searching for a tradie or a business submitting a listing, you agree to these Terms.
Coastline Trades is a directory that lists tradespeople operating on the Sunshine Coast. We are a directory only — we are not a licensing authority, a trade association, or a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a tradie found through this site.
Tradies submitting a listing are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide, including licence and qualification details. While we review submissions before publishing, we do not independently verify every claim made in a listing. Always confirm a tradie's current licence status directly with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) before engaging their services.
Coastline Trades is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any work carried out by a tradie listed on this site. Any agreement, quote, or work undertaken is strictly between the homeowner and the tradie. We accept no liability for disputes, damages, or losses arising from those arrangements.
Coastline Trades is a directory only — we do not process payments, hold funds, or verify a tradie's licence on an ongoing basis. Before agreeing to any work or payment, we strongly recommend you:
- Meet the tradie in person and confirm the scope of work before agreeing to proceed.
- Get the quote confirmed in writing (email or SMS) before any work begins.
- Verify the tradie's current licence and insurance directly with the QBCC, not just from badges shown on this site.
- Never transfer a deposit or any payment to a tradie you have not met in person and verified.
Any transaction, deposit, or payment you make to a tradie is entered into entirely at your own risk and discretion.
Listings are currently free. We may introduce paid features (such as featured placement) in the future; any such changes will be communicated clearly and will not affect a tradie's ability to maintain a basic free listing unless otherwise stated at the time.
- Do not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in a listing or enquiry.
- Do not use the site's forms to send spam, unsolicited advertising, or malicious content.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape, or interfere with the normal operation of the site.
We reserve the right to remove any listing or refuse access to the site at our discretion, including where these Terms are breached.
The Coastline Trades name, logo, and site design are owned by us. Tradie-submitted content (business descriptions, etc.) remains owned by the submitting business, who grants us permission to display it on the site.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
